Aberdeen is simplifying its fund range. It’s planning to merge two of its funds which have a similar investment objective.
As a result, we’ll be updating our fund name and description for the following funds:
- SL abrdn Emerging Markets Equity Pension Fund (Fund code – IKPL)
- SL abrdn Emerging Markets Equity Life Fund (Fund code - CCPI)
This update will take place from 9 October 2026. You can see details of the current and replacement fund names and fund descriptions in the tables at the bottom of this page.
We’ll be updating our fund factsheets to reflect these changes. These will be available on standardlife.co.uk/funds once updated.

The SL abrdn Emerging Markets Equity Pension Fund invests primarily in the abrdn Emerging Markets Equity Fund. The aim of the abrdn Emerging Markets Equity Fund is summarised below. To generate growth over the long term (5 years or more) by investing in emerging markets equities (company shares). Performance Target: To achieve a return in excess of the MSCI Emerging Markets Index over five rolling year periods (after charges). There is no certainty or promise that the Performance Target will be achieved. Performance Comparator: The Investment Association Global Emerging Markets Equity Sector Average. The MSCI Emerging Markets Index (the "Index") is a representative index of the collective stock markets across Emerging Markets. The Investment Association Global Emerging Markets Equity Sector Average (the "Sector") is a representative group of investment funds with a focus on Emerging Market equities. The value of any investment can fall as well as rise and is not guaranteed - you may get back less than you pay in. |
The SL abrdn Emerging Markets Income Equity 2 Pension Fund invests primarily in the abrdn Emerging Markets Income Equity Fund. The aim of the abrdn Emerging Markets Income Equity Fund is summarised below. To generate income and some growth over the long term (5 years or more) by investing in emerging market equities (company shares). Performance Target: To deliver a yield greater than that of the MSCI Emerging Markets Index over a rolling five year period (before charges) and achieve a return in excess of the MSCI Emerging Markets Index over a rolling five year period (before charges). The ACD believes this is an appropriate target for the fund based on the investment policy of the fund and the constituents of the index. The value of any investment can fall as well as rise and is not guaranteed - you may get back less than was paid in. |
