Aberdeen have decided to close their underlying funds. As a result, we’ll be placing a suspension on our funds, and closing them from 18 September 2026.

As a result, we’ll be placing a suspension on our funds, and closing them from 18 September 2026.
 
We’ve chosen to replace these funds with the closest suitable alternative available. You can see details of the current and replacement fund names and fund descriptions in the tables below.

We’ll be updating our fund factsheets to reflect these changes. These will be available on standardlife.co.uk/funds once updated.

The SL abrdn Dynamic Distribution Pension Fund invests primarily in the abrdn Dynamic Distribution Fund. The aim of the abrdn Dynamic Distribution Fund is summarised below.
The Fund aims to provide long term growth from a combination of income and capital growth by investing predominantly in a range of collective investment schemes managed or operated within the abrdn group. By investing in this way, the Fund aims to achieve exposure to a diversified portfolio of generally sterling denominated assets. The Fund and underlying collective investment schemes can invest globally in assets including equities, bonds, derivatives, property, cash deposits and money market instruments. The Fund may also invest in transferable securities and collective investment schemes managed or operated outside the abrdn group.
The value of any investment can fall as well as rise and is not guaranteed – you may get back less than you pay in.
The goal of this Fund is to achieve long-term growth by investing in a range of asset classes, sectors and geographies.  It does this by investing in other funds.  This Fund aims to be less volatile than the Standard Life Managed Pension Fund.
These funds invest mainly in equities (company shares), and bonds (loans to a government or a company) and may also invest in property, money market instruments, alternatives and other unlisted assets. The investments in these funds can be from around the world, including from emerging markets. 
These funds are not restricted to a particular fund manager or investment strategy, and can be passively and/or actively managed. These funds can change from time to time without notice, to ensure the Fund continues to meet its goal.
