The SL abrdn American Unconstrained Equity Pension Fund (fund code – DGLF) invests in an underlying fund which is managed by abrdn.

They’ve told us they’re changing the name and objective of this fund. As a result, we’ll also make the same changes to our fund as you can see in the table below.

To generate growth over the long term (5 years or more) by investing in US equities (company shares). 

Performance Target: To achieve the return of the S&P 500 Index plus 3% per annum over rolling three year periods (before charges). The Performance Target is the level of performance that the management team hopes to achieve for the fund. There is however no certainty or promise that they will achieve the Performance Target.  Performance comparator: IA North America Equity Sector Average. 

The ACD believes this is an appropriate target/comparator for the fund based on the investment policy of the fund and the constituents of the index/sector.

Performance Target: To achieve the return of the Russell 2500 Index, plus 3% per annum over rolling five year periods (before charges). The Performance Target is the level of performance that the management team hopes to achieve for the fund. There is however no certainty or promise that they will achieve the Performance Target. 

The ACD believes this is an appropriate target for the fund based on the investment policy of the fund and the constituents of the index.
 

 

When will the fund changes happen? 

These changes will take effect from 5 May 2023. The fund factsheet and fund description will be updated soon to reflect these changes. More information on this fund including the factsheet can be found by visiting the Standard Life Fund Filter. Search by using the fund code or fund name.

 

What does this mean for my clients?
