We announced our with-profits bonus review on Tuesday 1 August - the key messages are:
- Most customers will have seen their plan value decrease overnight on 1 August. This is because we have reduced final bonus rates reflecting recent investment returns.
- Regular bonus rates were not part of this review and are therefore unchanged from the rates we announced in February.
- Customers continue to benefit from smoothing and the guarantees that apply under their plans.
- For eligible plans, we are also topping up plan values by around 5.7% from the inherited estate.
