What we offer is a small, tailored programme for a handful of unique, talented individuals who are seeking a personalised route to becoming a leader. This is a programme for anyone, at any level, with an interest, experience or qualifications in a mathematical capacity due to the nature of the rotations.

Reinsurance and Structuring
Sitting alongside DB Solutions and Individual Retirement, Reinsurance is a crucial driver of our competitiveness, capital efficiency and risk management. To date, the team has worked through £10bn+ of reinsurance transactions across Retirement Solutions, Heritage and M&A
Individual Retirement Solutions
Individual Retirement Solutions provides retail product solutions that meet customer needs. The team are developing and launching new individual retirement products under the Standard Life brand to both the group’s own customer base and to external market customers
Mortgage solutions
Mortgage Solutions is a key source of assets for the Open Division. You’ll assist the team develop and implement mortgage strategies and create new products. This a dynamic team which is growing at pace to build our Brand in the Mortgage lending space
Annuities Client Services Team
The Annuity Client Services team is responsible for the overall BPA journey ensuring a comfortable transition for all our members and Trustees. Our team is responsible for the administration of both buy-in and buy-out BPA policies. Our team has five distinct areas which work closely together, namely Actuarial Operations, Transitions, Oversight, Risk and Data Services
Commercial
Our purpose is to support the division in maximising value from its in-force assets and liabilities, as well as its future new business ambitions. You will develop a detailed knowledge of the value drivers within our business, building models and undertaking analysis to improve financial results through the delivery of management actions

Hear from our current cohort
Also included during my time in the Client Service rotation, I will be involved in the data analyst team and working within the actuary team learning how to conduct calculations for both the BPA and reinsurance facing aspects of the deals – all of this is aimed at giving me a high level understanding of the end-to-end process of BPA deals from the point of quoting on a deal to transitioning it to buyout with EQ, whilst overviewing all operations from both a BPA and reinsurance perspective until the final member of the scheme exits.
During my recruitment and onboarding experience so far, I have found that the people at Standard Life are open and friendly, senior people are delighted to share their knowledge and understandings. Plus, management team are quite happy to hear from junior joiners, I have always felt a sense of belonging in my team and the company.
