Andrew Phillips

Experience

Andrew joined the Standard Life Centre for the Future of Retirement in March 2025 as Policy and Research Manager. He has a particular interest in labour market policy, and works across multiple projects connected to longer working lives.

Prior to joining the Standard Life Centre for the Future of Retirement, Andrew was a Senior Researcher at the cross-party think tank Demos. His policy and research work at Demos included a specific focus on employment, conducting research and developing policy proposals on employment support services, labour market participation among people in their 50s and 60s, and Youth Employment Hubs. While at Demos, he also co-authored research reports on topics including mission-led government, local government finances and climate policy. Before joining Demos, Andrew worked in the public services team at the Institute for Government.
