Earn a bonus rate of 5.25% variable gross p.a./AER until 20 April 2009 reverting to 3.65% variable gross p.a./AER after that.

Tax Staus:
Interest will be paid gross to registered or recognised charities, occupational pension scheme trustees, limited companies, clubs and societies. For all other business types, interest will be paid net of lower rate tax.
Conditions for bonus payment: Bonus rate ends on 20 April 2009.
Withdrawal arrangements: No notice period or penalties apply when making withdrawals on this type of account.
Access: Enjoy easy access to your money over the phone 8am-6pm Mon-Fri, or make transactions at a time that suits you with our online service.
  • Deposit a minimum of £1,000 and up to a maximum of £10 million.
  • Make as many deposits or withdrawals as you like.

The Facts

  • Interest rates effective from 20 October 2008, subject to variation.
  • Customers may only have one Business Bonus Savings Account.
  • New accounts are only available to customers who have not previously held a Business Bonus Savings Account.
  • To qualify, the business savings account holders must be resident (and in the case of a limited company, incorporated) in the UK at the time of opening the account.
  • Gross means the rate of interest paid without the deduction of tax, if applicable.
  • AER means the Annual Equivalent Rate and illustrates what the interest rate would be if interest was paid and compounded each year.
  • Net means the gross rate minus tax at the current rate.
  • Withdrawals sent by electronic transfer via your external account will normally take 3 working days. In exceptional cases we may permit same day withdrawals but we will charge a fee for this, currently £28.
