Standard Life Japanese Equity Pension Fund – Important information
There are changes to the Standard Life Japanese Equity Pension Fund (Code FJ).
What’s happened
Standard Life Investments joined with Chuo Mitsui, one of the largest banks in Japan, in a strategic alliance on 28 July 2010. Read more
As a result:
- Standard Life Investments now advise on all of Chuo Mitsui’s Global Equity funds
- Chuo Mitsui will manage and advise on Standard Life Japanese equity funds
What’s happening now
We have now started phase two after the successful completion of phase one.
This means that from 14 December 2011:
- Chuo Mitsui will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Standard Life Japanese Equity Pension Fund – the fund name, fund code, risk profile, fund objective and charges will stay the same
- Standard Life will retain overall responsibility for the fund, including governance
This special relationship with Chuo Mitsui means that the fund will have access to the investment management expertise of equity managers, who are close to the local market.
