Applying online for a Savings Account
Applying online for a Direct Access or 50 Day Notice Savings Account couldn't be easier. It should only take 10 minutes to complete.
What you will need
To apply online you'll need the following details to hand:
- Details of your designated external bank/building society account (account name, address, account number and sort code). You will use this to move money in and out of your savings account. If the savings account is to be in joint names, your designated account must also be in joint names.
- Personal details for yourself and the joint applicant (if applicable).
- Your tax payer status.
- You must be a permanent resident of the UK and aged 16 and over to apply.
Once you have submitted your application, we will send you your Welcome Pack in the post within 5 working days.
You currently cannot apply online if:
- You are an existing Standard Life Bank customer,
- You wish to open an ISA or a Business Savings account, or
- You have an application pending with Standard Life Bank.
